Who am I?
My name is Kirsty and I'm from England. I've been a kpop fan since 2020 when I started listening to BTS.In October 2021 I watched The Fact Music Awards, which was my first time watching a Korean award show. I heard Young-woong's voice and was immediately hooked. I looked him up on Spotify that day and have been Hero Generation ever since.When he released his first album IM HERO in 2022, I noticed there were no update accounts for him in English, which is what gave me the idea to make LimYoungWoongUK. I researched where to find all the different Korean charts including album charts, circle charts, etc and put together this account so I could provide updates for overseas fans.
My goal with this account is to support him 100% and spread his music as much as I can to as many people as I can. I recently spoke to the Kpop radio hosts of UK radio station Castledown FM about his music and he has now been regularly played on their show since July 2025. Their Kpop show airs every week on Thursdays at 9pm (or Friday, 6am KST).
I'm really hoping one day for a UK tour date so I can finally see him live but, in the meantime, I will continue to spread his music as far as I can because the world needs to hear his voice! He deserves to be a global superstar and I won't stop until that happens.
